DJ KMBRK was my DJ for my 30th birthday party. The theme of the party was 70s Disco and he had such a great mix of the goodies of the 70s. He also included house music and more current music. On top of setting such a fun vibe, he DJ KMBRK exemplified high professionalism and promptness with his communication. I appreciate the fact before he finalized his quote, he checked out the venue of my party to see which equipment of his he would need to bring. That made him stand out from the rest! KMBRK is a Chicago street, and a Chicago sound: R&B, hip-hop, Top 40, house and Afrobeats, blended live rather than queued up in advance.
Classically trained on piano long before the decks, then a B.S. from Illinois and an MBA from DePaul. The DJing started in 2023, at a New Year’s Eve party, off an iPhone.
Under three years later: the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field, the Foundation Room at House of Blues, the American Cancer Society’s Skyline Soiree. That’s the resume.

How far ahead should I book?
Popular dates, especially Saturdays in season, tend to go nine to twelve months out. If your date is sooner, ask anyway, there is often room.
How much does a DJ cost?
Most events land in a set range depending on hours, guest count and production. You get one flat quote up front, and the quote you get is the number you pay, with no surprise fees.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Coverage is $1M per occurrence and $3M aggregate, and a certificate of insurance is issued to your venue as additional insured, usually the same day.
Do you cover the suburbs?
Yes, Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, including Naperville, Oak Brook, Evanston, Rosemont, Lombard and Schaumburg.
Can we choose the music and give a do-not-play list?
Absolutely. Share your must-plays and do-not-plays ahead of time, and guests can request on the night within your guidelines.
What happens if equipment fails?
Backup gear is on site at every event, so a technical hiccup never stops the music.
How do I hold my date?
A retainer holds the date and the balance is due before the event. You can pay securely by card online.
